The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Note 4 is causing more issues than advantage for users. It is only few days since users updated their Galaxy Note devices and are now they are heckled with performance hang ups. AT&T, Sprint and Verizon released the update over the air for their customers.
In fact, right after the updates were booted over the carriers AT&T and Sprint, the Galaxy Note 4 got hit with issues such as app slowdowns, shutdowns and poor battery. Galaxy Note 3 users too seem to have nothing easy. App freezing, battery dip and text messaging delays are the most popular issues for this device.
Besides the complaints about battery drain and app closure, we also found users irritated over their overheated phones following the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Some even claimed to have sent their Note 4s for repair.
Many users took to the social media channels to vent their frustrations and a majority of them were irritated with the reboots that were needed for their Note 4. Users who updated their Note 4s over Verizon were in a better mood with some praising the updates. However, this mood was short lived as soon as angry Verizon users complained of battery drain and lightening fast dip in charge level, while accusing the positive reviews of being “Samsung shilled.”
