Android 4.4 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be release in March or April this year. At present, Samsung has rolled out Android 4.3 update for Note 2 and for those who want to update the phone to the latest firmware, here are the things to know.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean comes with a host of new features including Touch Wiz apps , new home screen, new icon and better multitasking features.

Before preparing your device for the update you should back-up all your data and files of your phone. Also you need to download Samsung Kies PC suite on your computer before starting the upgrade. If your phone is subscribed to a particular carrier then you can use the built in app to update your Android version.

Once your device is prepared for the update, make sure that you don’t cancel the upgrade process in between as it will corrupt the firmware.

In case your device your rooted then after the update it is likely that your phone root will be removed.  It is best to check the version of update and rooting kit before the updating the device.
