Respite From The Apple Map App, Google Map App Back at iStore

Its back, Google Map app is all set to join the slew of map apps on Apple app store in few hours from now. This comes as a respite for iOS use who have been many times stranded in the middle of nowhere due to Apple Map app goof up.

Apple did away with Google Map app in the month of June to launch its own Map app. In the demo at WWDC the app looked promising but it didn’t live up to expectations of users. Such a big fuax pas Apple Map app was that CEO Tim Cook had to write a public apology advising users to use third-party apps.

Released in September, the Map app has been constantly criticized for its sparse detailing and wrong guidance. It was after the maps disaster that Apple had to bid goodbye to Scott Forstall, its key personnel and    mind behind the app.

Apart from Google Map App, iOS users can also download HERE Maps of Nokia for iPhone, iPad.
