Pundits believe that September is going to see the release of many Apple devices including the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2. But what is even more interesting is that its seems more than likely that Apple is planning to take on the game consoles with the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2.
Ever since the first Beta for the upcoming iOS 7 was released it has been clear that Apple is gearing its devices to be much better at running games than ever before. In fact, Apple has even released a set of guidelines for iOS accessory makers and game developers – they want developers to focus on integrating touch-screen elements into new games and apps first followed by approved accessory products like controllers. Clearly, this is an attempt by Apple to take on the faltering console gaming industry by positioning the new iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 as serious gaming rigs. Both are going to get retina displays and be powered by the A7 series chips.
With the release date looming for the iPad 5, this is the first clear indication that Apple might finally have decided to make the iPad into a much more engrossing device – not just for browsing and casual gaming anymore we might just see some serious game titles made for the iPad 5.
