Key Features and specifications of Redmi Note 8
Camera upgrade is undoubtedly one of the major highlights of the Redmi Note 8 smartphone. Following in with the ongoing trend of quad-rear camera setups, Redmi Note 8 has also brought in a set of four rear cameras at its back. It has a combination 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and another 2-megapixel camera for depth perception.
It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and runs on Android 9 Pie OS. It has a 4000mAh battery and also supports 18W fast charging feature. Unlike the Redmi 8, an 18W fast charger has also been included in the retail box.
Redmi Note 8 offers a decent 6.3-inch full-HD display and 1080×2280 pixels resolution. The phone which is being dubbed as the more affordable pick from the Redmi Note 8 series is available in three colour variants including Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, and Space Black.
Key Features and specifications of Redmi Note 8 Pro
The phone seems a little heavier than the Redmi Note 7 Pro model but it can also be attributed to a bigger 4,500 mAh battery. Featuring a screen size of 6.53 inches and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, it is also available for sale in three colours including Gamma Green, Halo White, and Shadow Black.
Redmi Note 8 Pro also features a quad camera setup at its back and has a primary 64-megapixel camera, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and two cameras of 2-megapixel each. In a major advantage over Redmi Note 8, the Pro model will be powered by the MediaTek G90T octa-core gaming processor.
Redmi Note 7 Pro had already raised the bar for Redmi Note 8 Pro to follow. Redmi Note 7 had become ‘The Phone’ to buy after its launch and continued to reign for months to come. Redmi Note 8 Pro has indeed lived up to those expectations.

If you are willing to spend some extra bucks, as per our Redmi Note 8 Pro review, this is a good choice. But, if 10K happens to be your upper limit, Redmi Note 8 is indeed the phone to buy if you are willing to ignore a few design considerations.
Keeping up with its reputation for great features placed in elegant designs at a pocket friendly price, Xiaomi will be hard to compete with in the mid-range segment. Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro seems set to rule the market in their respective segments.
