Last Tuesday saw Gamescon held in Cologne, Germany – and both Microsoft and Sony used it as a chance to indicate the impending console war between the upcoming Playstation 4 and Xbox One. It has been years since either of the two tech giants have released a completely new version of their consoles and both of the companies seem to be gearing up for this coming November. While Sony has stepped up and said that the Playstation 4 will be released on the 15th of November to the USA and Canada – Microsoft has remained quiet about when it will be releasing the Xbox One. What Microsoft has done is tell Europe that the Xbox One will have some special stuff for them like exclusive Ultimate Team features in FIFA 14 and exclusive game content in Call Of Duty: Ghosts.
In a change from its earlier stance, Microsoft will in fact allow individual indie game developers to make game for the Xbox One. Albeit, recognised indie and individual developers will get priority over any other developers. As the day for the new console war draws nearer, game fans around the world hope that consoles will be able to finally compare to PC gaming specifications.
