The most popular social network of 2012 is going mobile in a big way. In a bid to encourage more mobile users to pin images on to their boards, Pinterest has brought out an updated app that makes managing pins, scrolling and deleting comments through the mobile a whole lot simpler. This update was communicated via a blog post on the Pinterest website and also mentions new features in the new apps.
The Pinterest app for iPhone and iPad lets users edit their pins more easily and even lets them update pin descriptions, delete pins and change their boards’ locations as well. You can even delete comments on your own pins through the mobile app itself.
The mobile apps, for both iOS and Android, were launched in August 2012 as a way for users to interact more with the world and pin images even when on the go, rather than just through their stationary computers. The app even lets users pin images clicked using their smartphone cameras instantly.
Transition seems to be the order of the day for this social network, given that even its website is undergoing a revamp. According to the company, it’s all about providing a more dynamic and faster overall experience to its users. Users can expect much better navigation and bigger pins once the updated website is rolled out.
