Amidst the worst lockdown seen in recent times, online events have become a norm with the Oppo Ace 2 and OnePlus 8 Pro Launch. The OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro launch happened through a live streaming event on the company blog.
Although the world is closed at this time, both models will be on sale once global markets are ready. Interestingly, the online launch did give a glimpse of how team members from around the globe came together to enable the launch of a brand new phone.
Specifications of OnePlus 8 & OnePlus 8 Plus in 2020
Processor: The OnePlus 8 as well as the OnePlus 8 Pro come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. Launched in 2019, this processor has a fast ‘Prime Core’ that clocks up to 2.84 GHz. Use of this processor speeds up the performance of Android phones available in the market today.
RAM: Both models come with two variants — the 8GB and 12GB. While the RAM by itself will not add to the speed of the phone, the OnePlus 8 Pro has been provided with a DDR5 memory, which should increase the battery life of this phone. However, the manufacturer has continued with DDR4 on the OnePlus 8.
Screen: Now, for the big one. How big will the screen be? The OnePlus 8 Pro has been designed with a 6.78-inch screen, while the OnePlus 8 comes close with a 6.55-inch screen.
The screen resolution of the OnePlus 8 Pro has a much higher resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels, while the OnePlus has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. However, both the models have been provided with OLED panels.
