OnePlus has launched its new Y series and U Series of OnePlus TV sets in India on Thursday. The Y series has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 12,999 in the country. On the other hand, the U-series TV sets have been priced at Rs. 49,999. The latest OnePlus TV series will run on Android TV 9 Pie and will offer a good range of variants for screen sizes and resolution.
When and Where will the New OnePlus TV go on Sale?
The newly launched OnePlus Televisions are set to go on sale on Amazon starting July 5, 2020. The Shenzhen based manufacturer has added that the two series of TV launched on Thursday will soon be made available on the official OnePlus online store and offline retail outlets.

The new Y-series of OnePlus Smart TVs will include two size variants of 32-inch and 43-inch screen size. The 32-inch TV offers an HD resolution of 1,366×768 pixels while the 43-inch model offers full-HD resolution with 1,920×1,080 pixels.
The Y series specifically targets budget buyers. It comes with features such as OnePlus Connect, Oxygen Play, etc. OnePlus Connect allows easier connectivity to the smartphone and the Oxygen Play interface provides for a content-centric view.
The smaller 32-inch model will cost users Rs. 12,999 while the larger 43-inch TV will cost Rs. 22,999. The two Y-series OnePlus smart TVs will compete with Vu Cinema TV range and Realme Smart TV.
OnePlus TV 43Y1 and One Plus TV 32Y1 will offer a rated sound output of 20W with Dolby Audio tuning. The two smart TVs will also provide access to Google Play Store to download games and applications, Google Assistant, and Google Chromecast.

The new U-series TV from OnePlus has been announced in a 55-inch solo variant with a 4K LED Screen and an Ultra-HD resolution of 3840×2160-pixels. Moreover, it also offers support for the Dolby Vision HDR format. Additionally, it offers a 93 percent colour gamut on DCI-P3 besides OnePlus Connect and Oxygen Play.
Designated as the OnePlus TV 55U1, the new U-series TV is around 6.9mm thick near the edges and has a screen-to-body ratio of 95 percent. While the OnePlus Connect application enables easy connectivity to your mobile, remote allows you to easily access the two popular streaming platforms including Amazon Prime Video and Netflix through short keys.
OnePlus TV 55U1 packs a 30W four-speaker setup supported by the Dolby Atmos audio. Moreover, in the Bluetooth stereo mode, the television may also act as a wireless speaker. It will hope to take on Mi TV 4X range and Vu Premium 4K Android TV in the market.
