In the run-up to MWC 2014, when giants such as Samsung and LG are sharpening their claws, Nokia seems to be prepared for its own show. In a desperate effort to enter the Android segment, Nokia now plans to unveil its first smartphone with this operating system.
Code-named Normandy, the Nokia X has seen leaks on Weibo website for Nokia. Interestingly, the images are not very predictive and do nothing but reveal an X mark. However, insiders are anticipating the Finnish makers to release two separate smartphones at MWC on the 24th this month.
Touted as a mash-up between Nokia Lumia and the pocktable Nokia Asha, the Nokia X could come loaded with specs such as:
- 4-incher TFT display
- 480×854 pixels resolution
- Dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GHz
- 5 MP main snapper
- OS Android 4.4 KitKat
