The release date of Google’s most awaited android smartphone Nexus 6 is likely to be paved by the metallic and premium-built HTC One M8, which is considered as the world’s best Android smartphone even before its actual release, according to new reports.
Tech Times has reported that Google is reportedly switching the manufacturer of Nexus 6 from South Korea’s LG, which assembled the Nexus 4 and 5, to Taiwan-based HTC.
The major reason behind this decision is the solid build and superb specifications and features of the One M8. Google wishes to rank its upcoming smartphone as a premium gadget that is worthy of competing with the iPhone 6.
The upcoming iPhone is rumored to be available in aluminum alloy or liquid metal casing, in line with the same tough body-build of its immediate past versions. Google is expected to install some equal or even exceed such impressive device quality.
Google is working towards the Google Wireless that will be tapped on the ever-expanding Google Fiber broadband network. Gotta Be Mobile has reported that the plan is specially for Nexus and Google Play devices with a simple aim to achieve superfast wireless internet outside of the established telco infrastructures.
The Nexus 6 is also expected to be powered by a 64-bit optimized KitKat processor that has already been tested, ported and validated by Intel, BGR reported. The smartphone is also likely to boast Snapdragon 805 or 810 chips along with at least 4GB of RAM.
