Computer and phone maker Apple has announced that the new Apple iMac will be available in the Indian market from November 30. The new range of Apple’s 21.5-inch iMacs starts at Rs. 85,900 and will be available through select Authorised Resellers. Buyers will also be able to order the 27-inch version of the new iMac through the Apple Online Store, which is going to start shipping next month. This iMac comes with a new storage option called the Fusion Drive.
The new iMac range uses third generation quad-core Intel Core i5 processors that can be upgraded to Core i7. These machines will have 8GB of 1600 MHz memory along with 1TB hard drive. It also uses the latest Nvidia GeForce graphics processors, which provides users with 60% faster performance.
Users are going to have a tough time deciding which iMac they want to own. The 21.5-inch iMac comes with a 2.7 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 and Turbo Boost along with Nvidia GeForce GT 640M. All of this comes on the iMac at Rs 85,900. A 2.9 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost and Nvidia GeForce GT 650M will be available for Rs 99,900.
Similarly, the 27-inch iMac with 2.9 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 and Turbo Boost speeds along with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M comes at Rs 122,900. The 27-inch iMac with 3.2 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 and Turbo Boost along with Nvidia GeForce GTX 675MX is available at Rs 1,34,900.
The new iMac is one of Apple’s most advanced desktops and its Fusion Drive has the capacity of a hard drive with 128GB of flash.
