Under the leadership of its new owner Google, Motorola Mobility unveiled three latest Droid Razr smartphones for Verizon. The devices, big and small were launched the same day as Nokia uncovered its first Windows Phone 8 devices.
The smartphones include the Razr HD, Razr Maxx HD and Razr M.
The Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD offer big choice with large batteries and 4.7-inch screen while the Razr M has a smaller profile. All three devices will run on Google Android operating system.
Now let’s take a look at each of the device’s specifications.
Starting with the Razor HD, this device looks super cool. With a 4.7-inch 720p Super AMOLED HD display, the Razr HD will have a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor with 1 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of storage. This device will also have an 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera so you can capture clear pictures. The smartphone will also support a 2,530 mAh battery. It will get an upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by the end of the year.
Next in line is the Razr Maxx HD. Made with a battery size of 3,300 mAh, this smartphone will offer storage space of 32 GB.
Both the Razr HD and the Razr Maxx HD will come pre-installed with Google’s Chrome browser. Both of them will hit the market later this year on Verizon. However, Motorola didn’t announce anything about the pricing of these devices.
The third Razr phone in line, the Razr M is a smaller, budget choice for users, which will be out at stores starting 13th Sept. at a price of $99. With a lower resolution 4.3-inch qHD 540×960 Super AMOLED display, the Razr M will work on a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor. This smartphone will have 1 GB of RAM. There will also be an 8-megapixel camera at the rear and a 3-megapixel front-facing camera, which will let you capture moments easily.
What makes the Razr M a great choice is that with a same screen size as Apple’s iPhone, this device offers display to the edges, which offers 40 percent more screen size. This smartphone will also have a 2,000 mAh battery and will be upgraded to Jelly Bean this year.
Motorola hopes to win over consumers and enter the competitive smartphones market with these latest releases that have 4G speed, beefy batteries, and sleek use.
