The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 tablet is a good chance for the American tech giant to continue re-building it brand image. The Surface Pro accounted for a little over 8 percent of tablet sales and if Microsoft gets the formula right, they might just have a winner on their hands.
According to Windows tech site WinSuperSite the new Surface Pro 2 will use the latest Intel fourth generation Haswell micro processor meaning that it could have improved battery life. The new Surface Pro 2 will also use up to 8GB of RAM and a new battery – combined with the minimal power usage of the Haswell series of processors this could solve the battery life issues that have plagued the original Surface Pro. The Surface Pro is also believed to have a new kickstand with two position options, along with a Power Cover keyboard, this might actually make it competition for ultrabooks like the MacBooks Air and the Sony Vaio Pro 13.
The Surface Pro 2 will most probably be released the same time as Windows 8.1 and will most probably use that operating system as native.
