Malaysian Woman Claims She Saw Missing Malaysian Airlines Flight

More than 25 countries are involved in the search operations for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, but now a clue has come from a Malaysian woman who claimed that she spotted the wreckage the same day it went missing.

The plane has been reported missing since March 8, 2014 when it departed from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. The Boeing 777 was accommodating a total of 239 people, including 227 passengers and 12 crew members.

A 53-year old woman from the Malaysian province of Johor, Raja Dalelah, has said that she noticed something unusual in the ocean below when she was on a flight home from Mecca on March 8. She has been quoted by The Star saying “It looked like an airplane. Throughout the journey, I was staring out of the window of the aircraft as I couldn’t sleep during the flight.”

The plane was over the Indian Ocean when Dalelah saw it, according to information received by her from in-flight monitors installed in the cabin. Dalelah was on Saudi Arabian Airlines Flight 2058, which had departed from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at 8.30 a.m. Malaysian time. She claimed that she noticed the silver-looking object at 2:30 p.m. Malaysian time which was partially submerged with floats on either side.

Till then Dalelah was unaware of the missing flight and it was only after she landed came to know about it. She claimed to have reported to the police about what she saw. However, other fellow passengers claimed that it was impossible for Dalelah to spot a submerged airplane from a height of roughly 35,000 feet. But despite the scepticism related to her claims, Dalelah is still firm that she saw the missing Flight 370.
