Face masks were rarely spotted outside hospitals and clinics but they have become a new necessity post the COVID-19 pandemic. As many are now required to wear it all day long, their comfort and breathability have become important factors to consider.

In the past months, we have seen several companies experimenting and innovating to make the best face masks for protection against COVID-19. Latest on the list is the South Korean conglomerate, LG Electronics. LG has also announced a new LG PuriCare Wearable air purifier face masks this week.

LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier Price and Release

LG will officially launch the new PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier masks at the upcoming IFA 2020 event in Germany. The IFA this year will be held in Berlin from September 3 to September 5, 2020. However, the masks will not be available till the beginning of October.

However, there has been no word about the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier price yet. The firm is likely to reveal further details including the at the launch event only. However, given its innovative features, it is definitely going to be much more expensive than the usual masks and will cater to high-end buyers.

Key Features Expected In The LG Face Mask

The new smart LG face mask from also hopes to address the various issues people have been facing with their face masks. LG PuriCare face mask aims to help users breathe clean and fresh air both indoors and outdoors. Notably, LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier comes with a respiratory sensor and dual fans. Moreover, the masks sport an ergonomic and flexible design to suit all. Moreover, its design also prevents the air leakage around nose and chin of the user.

As per the news reports, the mask will employ two H13 HEPA filters to purify air. Moreover, its in-built dual fans will also offer three different speed levels.

Interestingly, speed of the fans auto-adjust and speed up during inhalation and reduce speed to reduce resistance during exhalation.

Moreover, the above mentioned respiratory sensor will reportedly detect volume and cycle of the user’s breath to further facilitate adjustments with the fan.

Remarkably, the innovative LG face mask also sports an 820mAh battery. The PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier pack will also include a special charging case, equipped with UV LED lights to charge the mask. Moreover, the PuriCare mask can run for up to two hours in high mode and eight hours in low mode in a single charge.

It will also notify users automatically on their LG ThinQ mobile apps whenever the filters will require a replacement. But, it is also worth noting that several other firms including Xiaomi and TCL have also been trying to develop smart masks.
