LG Optimus G Pro Vs Sony Xperia Z Vs Samsung Galaxy S3: With Samsung Galaxy S4 On Verge, Which Of These Got Game?

This year has been off to a promising start with a long list of flagship smartphones already unveiled. While the Sony Xperia Z stole the limelight at CES 2013, followed by LG’s Optimus G Pro a few weeks later, all eyes are on Samsung as it gets ready to showcase the latest flagship Galaxy S4 this week. But until this phone hits the markets, can the Galaxy S3 continue to sell once the Optimus G Pro and Xperia Z have arrived?

LG Optimus G Pro: We’ll start with this because it’s the most recent among these three smartphones. LG’s mammoth flagship features a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080X1920 pixels. Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it is powered by a quad-core 1.7 GHz processor and has 2 GB of RAM. LG has also put in a 13 MP rear camera and a 2.1 MP front-facing camera into this phone. The Optimus G Pro comes with 32 GB of internal storage, but there’s also a microSD card slot if you find this space insufficient. A 3,140 mAh jumbo battery will ensure that this remains powered up and operational for a long time.

Sony Xperia Z: Let’s just start off with its USP – it is dust and water resistant. That makes it an ideal phone for those who love the great outdoors! Apart from these qualities, the Xperia Z boasts a ton of features – it has a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080X1920 pixels powered by Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA 2 Engine. This phone runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB of internal storage and supports microSD cards too. The 13 MP camera has a Sony Exmos RS sensor and there’s a 2.2 MP front-facing camera as well. The 2,330 mAh battery is non-removable but promises up to 14 hours of talktime.

Samsung Galaxy S3: The bestselling phone of 2012 has been in the market for quite a few months now and is still selling well. It has a 4.8-inch screen with a resolution of 306 ppi. Originally shipped with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, it can be upgraded to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The Galaxy S3 is powered by a quad-core 1.4 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage and also has a microSD card slot. The rear camera has a resolution of 8 MP, while the front-facing one is 1.9 MP. A decent 2,100 mAh battery gives it a talktime of over 11 hours.
