It’s barely been a couple of days since the specs and pictures of the LG Optimus G Pro were leaked on the internet, making a lot of folks drool over this upcoming flagship device. On what may come as more good news, there are rumors of LG launching this device soon to beat the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4, which is expected to happen around March 15, 2013.
All eyes are going to be on LG at the upcoming Mobile World Congress, expecting the company to introduce the Optimus G Pro. We can expect the smartphone to be released by the end of February if this happens, a couple of weeks ahead of Samsung’s launch of the Galaxy S4.
After the stellar performance of the Galaxy S3 in the market, everyone is eagerly waiting for its successor, the Galaxy S4. And from the rumored specs, there’s no reason why it won’t be as successful as the Galaxy S3. But LG has been rather aggressive with designing the Optimus G Pro, with the intention of overtaking Samsung.
The headstart can definitely work in LG’s favor by hopefully getting more customers hooked to the Optimus G Pro before its formidable competition, the Galaxy S4, hits the markets. The Optimus G Pro will be available in two versions – a 5-inch model for Japan with a 3000 mAh battery and a 5.5-inch model with a 3140 mAh battery for other markets.
