The gaming world just cannot wait for the release of Sony PS4 and Xbox One consoles. With both releasing in over two weeks, it will be interesting to see who wins the battle. The hype around Sony PS4 is pretty high, as compared to Xbox One, with people posting on social networking sites such as Twitter their intent to buy Sony PS4 as compared to Microsoft’s Xbox One. Here’s the comparison:
- DESIGN: Not that design is the most crucial aspect when it comes to consoles, Sony PS4 has a sleeker design than that of Xbox One and is relatively smaller. Xbox One is literally a box within the Xbox, with provision for external flash storage.
- CONTROLLER: The debate regarding which controller is better, the Xbox One controller or the PS4 DualShock 4 controller is one that cannot be solved anytime soon. Gamers have their own preferences. Sony and Microsoft have not changed their respective gaming controllers over the years, they have just evolved from the ones used in 2000 and 2001. PS4 DualShock 4 controller is larger, with a front and center touchpad. Xbox One controller is more comfortable and can be used to play games laptops and PCs too.
- Launch games: Exclusive games such as Ryse: Son of Rome, Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, LocoCycle, Fable Legends, Sunset Overdrive Kinect Sports Rivals: Preseason and Killer Instinct are included in Xbox One. Call Of Duty: Ghosts is not exclusive to Xbox One, but with DLC expected in a month, Xbox users can enjoy the game. PS4 on the other hand included exclusive day one games such as Killzone Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14, Zoo Tycoon, Madden NFL 25 and Knack in its lineup. Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag is another action game gamers can enjoy on PS4.
Both the consoles are close in graphical features, the feel of the controller and versatility does separate them with the Xbox One slightly better, while as far as RAM and speed is concerned PS4 wins anyday. Let’s wait which console sells more this Christmas.
