Samsung Rush to release Samsung Galaxy S5 – Samsung Galaxy S4’s sales Dip, S5 Brilliant Features

The Samsung Galaxy S4 did well to begin with, but after a while sales numbers have started falling off. Considering that this is the flagship smartphone for the mobile giant, shareholders have been up in arms. This might make Samsung rush to release the Galaxy S5 – later this year rather than next year.

The big problem with the Galaxy S4 is that it just looks like minor upgrade on the Galaxy S3. It might have many improvements over the last phone – like the Galaxy S4 has 2GB RAM over the Galaxy S3’s 1GB, a 1.6GHz Quad core processor and a 1.2 GHz octa core processor over the Galaxy S3’s 1.4 GHz quad core option and the Galaxy S4 has a 5 inch 1080 x 1920 pixel screen versus the Galaxy S3’s 4.8 inch 720 x 1280 pixel display; but you wouldn’t know from looking at it and it feels rather cheap and plasticky compared to the competition. Thus, expect Samsung to change the form factor of its flagship smartphone with the upcoming Galaxy S5. While the Galaxy S4 has a quad and an octa core variant, expect the Galaxy S5 to run an octa core processor only. Another big point of concern for users is the heavy price of the unlocked version of the phone, Google Play Edition. If Samsung brings its price down, the company will likely see a large jump in sales.

Unless sales of the Galaxy S4 picks up with spin offs like Galaxy S4 Active and Mini, expect Samsung to hurry the release of the Galaxy S5 in a bid to keep its market position in the face of strong competition from the upcoming Apple iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and also the Goolge Nexus 5
