The Android 4.4 KitKat version has been seen feeding life into Samsung Galaxy Note 3 as well as the Samsung Galaxy 4. However, we wonder whether it would be incorporated in the older Samsung models such as Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3. Recently, there have been reports that Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3 would be updating to Android 4.4 version. This is expected to commence around the month of March.
The Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 was supposed to be rolled out in mid January but now the there has been a change in the sequence of events. 4.4 rollouts for the Galaxy Note 3 in few areas of Europe and Asia has already begun. The updates can be found in SM-N9005 and SM-N900 Galaxy Note 3 models in countries like Russia, Poland, Switzerland, Netherlands Korea, Singapore, Spain among others. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S4 Google Play edition would be running on a new operating system very soon.
Samsung is yet to make an official announcement on the schedule of its Android 4.4 update. There are hot news and rumors from other mobile networks doing rounds as well. French carrier SFR, to begin with, claimed that it would commence updating the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 to Android 4.4 in January.Despite this,we are yet to receive any report on the same.
There are many devices that are still left to be updated. This list consists of the Samsung Galaxy S4, SGH-i337 model, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, SM-N900a model. There are no other updates on the same as of now.
