Meanwhile, Taiwan’s Economic Daily News has claimed that the company will begin mass production of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 in the third week of July, while the 5.5-inch version will go into mass production in the second week of August.

Even Foxconn, the manufacturing partner of US-based tech giant Apple, is rumoured to be hiring nearly 100,000 additional workers to meet the future demand for the iPhone 6.

Additionally, another Apple manufacturing partner, Pegatron, is also employing new people to the tune of more than 10,000 workers for its facilities to help in the manufacturing of the iPhone.

The smartphone is likely to be equipped with Apple’s next OS version, iOS 8, and it would be more scratch resistant as compared to the screens of the current iPhones. The smartphone is also likely to sport several other features, including 64-bit mobile processor, a clock speed of 2.6GHz and improved RAM. Additionally, it would have an advanced version of the camera along with optical image stabilization.
