HTC One Looks Good On Paper, But Is It Enough To Revive The HTC Brand?

Well, HTC finally did lift the veil off its grand new smartphone, the HTC One. And from what we’ve seen so far, what can we tell you, the phone looks really promising. But the real question on everyone’s minds is if the phone is good enough to steal the spotlight away from current world leader Samsung and its range of amazing products like the Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note II and of course, the upcoming Galaxy S4?

There’s no doubt that HTC has worked real hard on making this phone a brilliant gadget. Its specs are truly mind-blowing – a 4.7-inch full HD display with 468 ppi resolution, a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2 GB of RAM, an HDR mic, LTE connectivity, an HTC Ultrapixel camera, a 2300 mAh battery and a variety of storage options to choose from. The Snapdragon 600 processor is especially remarkable in performance, although we don’t know how many Android apps can work well enough with it.

There’s also a brand new marketing initiative being set up by HTC under the new Chief Marketing Officer John Wang. The ad campaign of the HTC One features a bold tagline, calling it to be “Everything your phone isn’t”, but we are still unsure of how aggressively HTC will be able to market the One.

However, the phone does have a beautiful design and looks premium. Even the upgraded Sense 5.0 UI makes Android look even better on the HTC One – but we’re not sure if it will be well received among hardcore Android fans. Let’s hope the company meets with some success this time around.
