Sony Xperia Z got a 5-inch TFT display and resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 441 ppi. HTC got a same 5-inch screen and exactly similar resolution to Xperia Z.
Xperia Z features a 1.5GHz Qualcomm quad-core process and 2GB RAM. HTC One M8 got a Snapdragon 801 chipset and 2 GB RAM. Both are having same processing speed, but M8 certainly got an edge with the new processor.
Xperia Z got a 13-MP camera featuring face detection, touch focus, and image stability. HTC One M8 however got a 4-ultrapixel dual-camera, which can take excellent pictures at night too. M8 has got 5-MP wide-angle lens in the front camera and gives it a significant advantage. Sony’s front camera is 2.2 MP.
Xperia Z is surely a mighty device, which already launched. It is a better run over the HTC One M8 for its price in some areas. However, HTC One M8 is seemingly more impressive in overall specs with some extras on offer as well as a very solid design. HTC also got high hopes of ending up as the best smartphone in 2014.
