HP Split X2

Split X2 from HP earns its name from the unique design. It features an easy to use and reliable sliding lock.  At initial glimpse, it comes across as a 13.3-inch Ultrabook but transforms into a 2 lb. tablet that featured a keyboard dock which can be detached easily. The base of the Split X2 resembles that of a typical laptop’s base. It has all the internals and ports. The dock carries a second battery and there is also a bay holding a second HDD. The Split X2 also comes with a MMC/SD card slot, full size HDMI and two USB ports.

Microsoft Surface pro 2

The Microsoft Surface Pro flaunts a stunning magnesium alloy framework. The 1080p touch screen is responsive and vivid. Microsoft has enhanced the active stylus that comes with the Pro 2. The audio is crystal clear. It boasts of enhanced battery life and  is faster and efficient as compared to other ultrabooks, configured similarly.

What works against the Surface Pro 2 is that there is no keyboard while the touchpad looks cramped. Considering other tablets, the Surface Pro 2 is rather heavy. App selection is limited while the camera quality is also not that great.

Apple MacBook pro

The Apple MacBook Pro sits at the top and is packed with abundant power. The MBP Pro 2013 comes in two models- 13-inch model and 15-inch model. Both the models come with Retina display. The spec sheet is simply intimidating and leaves its competitors way behind. To put it in simple words, the MacBook Pro resembles the previous two models which the tech giant released. The MBP Pro 2013 comes with some minor tweaks which makes it thinner and lighter.
