Sony has just launched its latest smartphone, the Xperia C3, which is termed as the world’s best selfie smartphone. This shows that selfies are taking over the world. The smartphone is equipped with a beefed-up front shooter with a 5MP sensor, along with high-tech features that have the capability to turn selfies into artwork with minimum effort.
Calum MacDougall, Director of Xperia Marketing at Sony Mobile Communications, has been quoted saying in a new company blog post on July 8 that “Xperia C3 is a unique new smartphone from Sony, created to offer the ultimate social sharing experience with a new powerful ‘PROselfie cam. It also presents a combination of the best of Sony, with leading digital imaging technology and brilliant specs and performance all for a mid-range price.”
The new Sony Xperia C3 is equipped with a screen size of 5.5 inches and is “fully-optimised for selfies.” Additionally the smartphone’s 25-mm-wide angle camera further sports a soft LED flash. The company has simplified the process of taking pictures by enabling users to take photos simply by double-tapping the back of the phone.
The Sony Xperia C3 is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel rear camera. The smartphone is available in the colour options of white, black and mint.
The smartphone is scheduled to be first launched in China in August 2014, making a global debut afterwards.
