The Samsung Galaxy S5  has a 5.1-inch screen equipped with a super AMOLED full HD display. The smartphone also has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels along with a pixel density of 440 ppi. It runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat operating system, Exynos Octa-core processor (1.9GHz quad-core+ 1.3GHz quad-core). Some of its other hardware features include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space that can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card slot.

The smartphone is also equipped with latest and advanced technical features including water-and-dust resistant IP67 certifications, finger-print sensorc and heart rate monitor sensor. Its camera quality is outstanding as a result of its 16.0 megapixel rear camera and 2.1 megapixel front camera that has the capability of full HD and 4K video recording.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a battery of 2800mAh and a weight of 145 grams. The smartphone can be purchased in several color options including Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold colors.

The latest update is that Samsung is working towards the launch of Galaxy S6, but it will possibly hit the market around MWC which is scheduled to take place between March 2 and March 5, 2015. The  Galaxy S6 is expected to be equipped with a bigger screen possibly 5.2 or 5.3 inches with a Super AMOLED display and a higher resolution. The company earlier said that it is hoping to launch the smartphones with 4K 3840 x 2160 displays in the market by 2015. There is a possibility that the S6 will jump straight to 4K.
