Like we said, 2013 sure seems like the year of the flagship smartphones. Each of the major phone manufacturers have already unveiled their best offerings, with the most recent one being Samsung with its Galaxy S4. So we thought of comparing the flagship smartphones of LG and HTC – the Optimus G Pro and the One respectively. Which of these flagships would you go for?

LG Optimus G Pro: If size does matter to you, you’ll love the Optimus G Pro’s 5.5-inch screen with its resolution of 401 ppi. Powered by a quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait processor and 2 GB of RAM, the phone runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. There’s a 13 MP rear camera and a 2.1 MP front-facing one for the photo enthusiasts, both of which can even record video at 1080p resolution. The phone comes with 32 GB of internal storage as well as microSD card slot. And yes, there’s a massive 3,140 mAh battery included.

HTC One: HTC’s flagship smartphone looks amazing – its all metal body gives it a very premium and classy appeal. And even though its 4.7-inch screen may seem smaller in comparison with that of the LG Optimus G Pro, its 468 ppi lets you view sharp and clear content. This phone also runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean but with an improved HTC Sense 5.0 UI overlay. The HTC One comes with HTC’s Ultrapixels camera, which allows users to click sharper images with better color reproduction. The front-facing camera has a resolution of 2.1 MP. The phone comes with 32 GB of internal storage, of which users can access 26 GB. A 2,300 mAh battery within the phone lets you run the phone for a long time on a single charge.
