IFA 2015, being held at Berlin, saw launch of two smartphones from Huawei—the G8 and the Mate S. the former will be up on the retail racks from this month itself and will come for about EUR 399. G8 will be first launced in UK, Egypt, China, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Germany and Taiwan.
With the G8, Huawei has gone bold by introducing hues such as gold and dark silver besides the plain white. We are excited about the phone that comes in a 5.5-incher full-HD display with a topping of 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass. Add to this a metal body, and you know Huawei has escalated ranks to premium zone.
The Inside Story
One specification that has us beaming over the G8 is presence of a fingerprint scanner—specifically the fingerprint sense 2.0 technology. Being incorporated with support for dual-SIM and 4G LTE, Huawei has hit the functionally meter high.
The 13 MP main shutter is already grabbing eyeballs and is the sensor’s sapphire protection. In addition, the main snapper sports make up mode, ISP foodie mode and RGBW sensor with built in OIS. Huawei G8 boasts of an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 3GB of RAM besides flaunting 32GB inbuilt storage that is expandable up to 64GB. Its runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Emotion UI skin on top on beefy 3000mAh battery.
