India is now ready to welcome the latest offerings from HTC–the Desire 616 and One E8. Both these HTC devices are likely to be launched in India today. It’s noteworthy that the company’s invite does not mention the name of the devices. However, there are speculations that HTC will launch both these devices for the Indian market. There are also expectations that HTC will also launch a dual-SIM version of the HTC One M8.
The dual sim Desire 616 was earlier being touted as a China-only phone, it seems to be making its way to India. The Desire 616 will be a middle-range phone with a 5-inch HD display and 1GB RAM. It will have a 1.4GHz octa-core processor and an 8-megapixel rear camera. It will run the Google OS-based 4.2.2 Jelly Bean version that is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek processor.
The HTC One (E8) will bear similarity to the HTC One (M8). However, it will not have the same sleek metal body. It will run on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat and the HTC Sense UI.
