Apple iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus In 12 Regions; India Needs To Wait

Apple has launched the iPhone 6s as well as iPhone 6s Plus but like all other releases, these new smartphones did not get a worldwide release either. The company has selected 12 regions for its initial launch and users in India would be disappointed that they will not be one of the first ones to get it.

For now, users in USA, UK, Singapore, Puerto Rico, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Germany and Japan can get these phones via pre-order. France, China, Canada and Australia are also one of the first regions where the new Apple smartphones would be available from September 25.

Prices may vary

Though the release date for all 12 regions is the same, pricing varies from one region to other. In the USA, the 16GB iPhone 6s variant costs $649, 64GB variant costs $749 and 128GB variant costs $849. Prices of the iPhone 6s Plus start from $749 for the 16GB variant. In Canada, prices of the the iPhone 6s start from CAD 899 and 6s Plus starts from CAD 1029.

All regions have a varied price so it would be a good idea to check that while ordering.

India may get Diwali release

India provides a great market for Apple products but there is no launch date. However, it is anticipated that the company may launch the smartphones sometime in November, in time for the Diwali season. There is no update on the price of the smartphones in India.
