Toshiba has prepared an Android robot receptionist named Aiko for the departmental store of Mitsukoshi Nihombashi and it looks pretty smart for its lineage. So next time you step into the store, Aiko will be welcoming you. The robot looks lika a human and is dressed in a Kimono. The electronics giant is working to power his movements and sync his voice.  Mitsukoshi Nihombashi believes that the robot will aid in promoting their campaigns, besides being a means to give out directions to visitors.
