It is a strong possibility that the next version of Google Nexus, Nexus 5 will be manufactured by a Chinese smartphone vendor. The south Korean giant LG has been known for manufacturing and marketing Nexus devices in the past but it seems that Google will not be extending its collaboration with LG fro second year in a row. There have been some speculations that LG might be chosen for manufacturing Nexus 2015. The project will go on floors after LG will complete working on its new flagship, the LG G4.
But if we were to believe latest rumors and speculations, then Google might be planning other things. It will not be major surprise if the tech giant decides to brush aside its Korean partner and collaborate with a Chinese vendor to manufacture 2015 version of Google nexus. LG has been known for manufacturing Nexus 4 and 5 which were released in the years 2012 and 2013.
Motorola manufactured Nexus 6 in 2014 and Google has no plans to return to LG for the latest version of its flagship device. Lenovo is being seen a major contender to manufacture next version of nexus.
We all are aware of the fact that Google recently sold its mobile unit, Motorola to Lenovo hence the collaboration on next gen Nexus is looking like a strong possibility. On the other hand, Huawei is also being seen as a possible contender to manufacture Google’s flagship device. The main reason could be Huawei’s strong presence in the international market.
