This is looking like a great year for those looking to pick up a tablet for themselves. ARCHOS is planning to introduce three new Android-based tablets across different sizes and resolutions in the new Platinum range. However, the tech specs of these three new models are almost the same. There’s an 8-inch 80 Platinum, a 9.7-inch 97 Platinum, as well as an 11.6-inch 116 Platinum on offer, starting from just $199 for the 8-inch model.
These three new devices will be powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, an 8-Core GPU, and 2 GB of RAM and will run on Android 4.0 ICS. They will also be equipped with 2 MP rear cameras and “webcam” front-facing ones. These tablets will feature a mini HDMI port as well as microSD card slots.
The 80 Platinum has a screen resolution of 1027X768 pixels, while the 97 Platinum has an amazing 2048X1536 pixels, while the 116 Platinum has a resolution of 1920X1080 pixels. The 97 Platinum is priced at $299 and will be available from February, while the $349 116 Platinum will start selling from April. These tablets feature a basic design, but with the specs, are definitely functional.
The Archos Tablet is tough competitor to Apple Ipad Mini and Kindle fire HD. we will bring the detailed comparison soon.
