Samsung Galaxy S5, the upcoming model from Samsung seems to be at the early design stage but the rumors of the specs and features of the same are doing rounds online. Firstly, the carbon fiber body for S5 instead of all-metal aluminum body of Galaxy S4 is expected as Samsung has recently purchased half the shares of SGL group, which is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of carbon based products.
The partnership will benefit both the companies as carbon fiber will be used in a wide variety of Samsung devices. The carbon fiber body will give a satin finish premium look to the smartphone along with a lighter body weight and a prospect to mold it into any shape and design. However, the flexible OLED panel display that would allow for a bendable screen seems to be not possible for carbon fiber body.
Some more suggested features of the S5 are as follows:
S5 is supposed to run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and would sport a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and 6x lossless zoom. A 5-inch 1080 P Super AMOLED Plus display with on-screen buttons instead of the physical home button that the Samsung Galaxy line normally has.
An eight-core Exynos 6 processor clocking in at 2GHz and a 64-core GPU with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory as Samsung would be responding to user complaints about lack of internal memory and heavy RAM usage are also on cards. There is a possibility of dual SD cards slots too.
For internet connectivity, 4G LTE is an option as the same has been rolled out with the Samsung Galaxy S4-LTE Advanced in South Korea. AT&T and Verizon have both spoken of bringing the super-fast 4G LTE capabilities to the US too, so it is certainly believable that the Samsung Galaxy S5 would have LTE capability and not the experimented 5G.
All these speculations are made on the leaks and reports online but the company has not given any words about the same.
