The Microsoft Surface Pro launch date has finally been announced and come February 8, 2013 we could get our hands on the much-awaited tablet. This tablet is powered by the Intel Core i5 processor. With Windows 8 pre-installed, the tablet is close to a laptop but harks back to its older sibling–the RT–in terms of design. With Surface RT’s ARM-based processor being labeled slow, the makers have abandoned it for good this time.
The tablet would be available in Canada or USA at a price of $899 from 8 February. If you are there, prepare for you first date with the sleek tab installment from Microsoft. With storage capacity of 64 GB, the tablet also comes with a pen-like stylus. What we are excited to see is how it effects the reigning king of tablets, Apple.
Officially, the Microsoft store and other retail portals of the giant are licensed to sell the device for now.
