According to the latest leaked document from suppliers, the upcoming flagship smartphone of Apple, iPhone 6, is likely to be available in a 128GB version. Apple fans have been waiting for long for bigger internal storage. It seems the company will now be able to deliver that along with iPhone 6 128GB version and a bigger 4.7 inch screen.
The document also showed that Apple is to distribute the production between SK Hynix and Toshiba. The smartphone would be available in 16, 64 and 128 GB versions this time around. However, there will be no 32GB version.
Taiwan’s Economic Daily News has recently claimed that the company will begin mass production of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 in the third week of July, while the 5.5-inch version will go into mass production in the second week of August.
Even Foxconn, the manufacturing partner of US-based tech giant Apple, is rumored to be hiring nearly 100,000 additional workers to meet the future demand for the iPhone 6.
Additionally, another Apple manufacturing partner, Pegatron, is also employing new people to the tune of more than 10,000 workers for its facilities to help in the manufacturing of the iPhone.
The smartphone is likely to be equipped with Apple’s next OS version, iOS 8, and it would be more scratch resistant as compared to the screens of the current iPhones. The smartphone would sport several other features, including 64-bit mobile processor, a clock speed of 2.6GHz and improved RAM. Additionally, it would have an advanced version of the camera along with optical image stabilization.
