If rumors according to MacRumors are to be believed, the iPad Mini could be powered by a 4490 mAh battery. The website has even posted images of the purported battery that could be inside the iPad Mini. MacRumors has been quick to admit that the information may not be completely correct, but from the images, it appears that the iPad Mini is well placed between the iPhone 5 and the third-generation iPad in terms of its battery life.
Tech enthusiasts expect the iPad Mini to have both WiFi and mobile connectivity options, and it will be available in a number of models with storage variations, starting from 8GB and going all the way up to 64GB of internal storage. Thanks to the advent of numerous Android-based tablets, like the popular Amazon Kindle Fire and the Google Nexus 7, Apple is losing share in the tablet market. Here’s hoping the iPad Mini can somehow turn Apple’s fortunes around and regain lost ground.
