The 4.4 KitKat update from Android for Sprint HTC one already started a fortnight ago and this was followed by the KitKat update for the Verizon HTC one. It is no secret that several US network carriers have experienced several delays for OS updates for the HTC One, the handset maker has said that rest of the mobile networks shall be receiving the 4.4 Android update for HTC One by this week itself.
HTC also conducted ‘ Ask Me Almost Anything’ debate on Redditfew days ago. Product Manager Leigh Momii, Executive Director of Product Management Mohammed Versi and Vice President Product Management Martin Fichter answered several questions related to the North American domain of the manufacturer. The top executives did not answer questions related to upcoming hardware and support issues while they did throw light on some questions surrounding the 4.4 KitKat Android update for many of HTC’s devices, like the marquee HTC One. The Verizon and the Sprint HTC One models have began receiving the 4.4 Android update and the AT&T and T-Mobile HTC One models are still to receive the update.
As evident from Verizon and Sprint, this update will be the much latest and up-to-date version of the OS from the search giant. The 4.4.2 Android KitKat is being rolled out after all necessary patches and fixes. HTC also is incorporating some advanced UI features along with Sense 5.5 and fixing some bugs for the device. Needless to say, one can expect a planned rollout after T-Mobile and AT&T have everything to start with.
