HTC’s newly launched Desire 510 is the latest addition by the company in its Desire range, which are the mid-range smartphones featuring the latest and advanced technologies. The company’s HTC Desire 610 and the HTC Desire 816 have been quite a hit among the users.
The company claimed that its HTC Desire 510 is the cheapest LTE-capable smartphone it has manufactured so far. The smartphone is available at a price of USD248, which is not the lowest price for a 4G-enabled handset available in the market. The EE Kestrel can be purchased at just USD165.
HTC Desire 510 Features
The HTC Desire 510 comes with a screen size of 4.7 inches along with a pixel resolution of 854 x 480, which is quite low. The smartphone runs on the Android 4.4.4 and is pre-installed with HTC’s own software HTC Sense and HTC BlinkFeed.
The smartphone has body dimensions of 139.9 X 69.8 X 9.99mm, and features rounded edges. Its front camera has been placed on the upper-left hand corner of the body. It has a sleek look as the company reduced the bezel around the screen.
Its back side is little curved and has been manufactured with polycarbonate material, giving it quite a cheap look. The HTC 510 seems to be a great phone in the first impression. It can be purchased in the ‘Terra’ white and ‘Meridian’ grey colours.
The smartphone has a weight of 158 grams and has only 8GB of internal storage capacity. The storage can be increased to up to 128GB with the use of a microSD card.
The HTC Desire 510 is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB RAM. So it can be assumed that the smartphone will be quite faster as compared to its rivals that are still featuring the older Snapdragon 400 processor.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone features Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS and DLNA. However, the phone does not have NFC or IR Blaster.
