Windows Phone 8-powered Ascend W2 smartphone by Huawei has been displayed recently at the Mobile Asia Expo in China. And it is expected to be unveiled on June 26. The specs and features of the same were made available to visitors by Huawei’s stand at GSMA 2013 Mobile Asia Expo.

The Ascend W2 will sport a 4.3-inch WVGA display along with other features like 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor MSM8x30 (Adeno 305 GPU) and 512MB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage and an additional option to expand the memory further via a microSD card.

According to the spec sheet, the 9.9mm thick Ascend W2 would also have a glove mode for the touch screen to enable users to operate the device easily even when wearing gloves. Black, red and yellow will be three initial colors in which the smartphone would be seen. All the other specs of the phone are nothing extraordinary except that it will run on the WP8 OS.

With price still under covers by Huawei, we can expect that the Ascend W2 smartphone would come with a price tag of less than $300 as hinted by some previous reports. But when to International markets is still unheard of.
