Google Pay app has been temporarily taken down from the Apple App Store for iOS users in India. Also referred to as Google Pay for India or Tez app is currently unavailable for downloads. Thus, users are now shown its other competitors instead like the PhonePe and Paytm as search results for Google Pay in the App Store in India.
Earlier in August this year, the app had also gone missing from the company’s own Google Play Store too. But, at that time, owing to the many users’ complaints as they faced issue in making digital payments, the app was soon fixed and made available again for Android users within a few hours.
Search Engine giant’s official spokesperson has reportedly apologise for the inconvenience and confirmed that the iOS version, Google Pay app has been temporarily been removed from the App Store in India to fix an issue. However, the app continues to be available for downloads on Android smartphones. The particular issue in question “doesn’t impact Android users and, thus, the Android version of the app remains available for download through Google Play.”
Additionally, even some of the existing Google Pay for India application users may face persistent payment failures on their transactions. The app’s developer team is currently trying to fix the issue at the earliest occasion. Moreover, users affected by the issue also reach out to the support team of Google Pay support through the app for help.
As Indian users search for Google Pay app for India from within the territorial boundaries, Apple App Store does not show it in the search list but instead displays other apps with a message, “Cannot connect to App Store.”
Moreover, Indian iPhones users can make payments through Google Notes for the time being. But, a few of the users have also reported issues during digital transactions on updated Google Notes.
