New reports have been surfacing that the upcoming Google Nexus 6 will most likely carry the LG logo on its launch date scheduled for July 2014.

The new Google’s vanilla Android smartphone is likely to lend its look, build, specs and features from the upcoming LG G3 that is due to be launched in June 2014.

This new development has completely discard speculations that came up in February 2014 that the Nexus phone will tie up with Lenovo-Motorola.

This is being seen as a sensible decision by the South Korean device manufacturer as LG was also responsible for the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, which were based from the LG Optimus G and LG G2 respectively.

It was earlier announced by android chief Sundar Pichai that the next Nexus smartphone is expected to be launched within the second half of 2014. He also mentioned that Android fans would surely not be able to get their mitts on the Nexus 6 before June.

The new Nexus smartphone would come at least with a 64-bit processing chip, the 8-core Snapdragon 810 CPU, a phablet-size screen with Quad HD panel and a rear camera along with 16MP lens sensor. All the mentioned specifications have been earlier linked to the LG G3, according to Phone Arena.
