Google Gives Taj Mahal Virtual Tour

With the country under another lockdown, all travel plans have to be cancelled owing to coronavirus havoc in the country. While international travel seems a far-fetched idea, Google has now come in to keep the spirit of travelling alive. UNESCO has collaborated with Google Arts & Culture and has created a new online resource to offer Taj Mahal virtual tour.

Explore UNESCO World Heritage is a microsite created by Google to offer virtual tour of 10 UNESCO Heritage sites, including Taj Mahal, Yosemite National Park, The Colosseum, Serengeti National Park amongst others.

Ernesto Ottone, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture said,“This is a unique opportunity to enjoy a virtual globetrotting tour of cultural landmarks and outstanding places of natural beauty, as well as to access accurate and reliable information on sites of outstanding universal value.”
