Funny that many Facebook users started changing their profile pictures to photographs of a Giraffe. This was a new collective game activity on the social networking site. It was a sort of a quiz that attracted the attentions of many Facebook users. Answer the riddle, or change the profile picture to a Giraffe photograph for the next three days, was the catch in the game.
Some people felt it was stupidly childish, as users could just go and Google for the answer, nevertheless it was fun.Note that this was not the first time the “change your profile picture if you get the answer wrong” went viral. Towards the end of the year 2010, cartoon profile pictures were seen all over Facebook.
What was the riddle? “3:00 am, the doorbell rings and you wake up. Unexpected visitors. It’s your parents and they are there for breakfast. You have strawberry jam, honey, wine, bread and cheese. What is the first thing you open?” Thousands of Facebook users got it wrong, and as per the rules of the game, had to change their profile pictures. The answer: Well, eyes correct. Not “door” as a large chunk of people mentioned. It was a trick question indeed, and that is how Giraffe imagery spread all over Facebook.
