Windows 8 Pro is now rolled out for pre-orders, starting at a price of $69.99 for the DVD pack in the US. Microsoft is slated to officially launch its Windows 8 on October 26th.

Also other PC makers such as Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Samsung, and Sony, who have their latest Windows 8-based devices lined up for release, have also started taking pre-orders.

Users can order the DVD version of Windows 8 operating system from Amazon, Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot, and the Microsoft Store.

Available in several colors, the packaging of the version as per Brandon LeBlanc, spokesman, Microsoft is composed of paper-based materials, excluding the Windows 8 DVD.
