The Samsung Galaxy S III is a successful phone. The recent report by Samsung indicates that its Galaxy S III smartphone has hit 20 million in as little as three months time. A major figure for Android smartphones, this report marks the achievement of Samsung, who recently lost $1 billion in a patent suit against Apple. But, the figure gets a little pale as compared to predictions that Apple might reach a mark of 10 million in the first week.
Samsung Galaxy S III was launched by the Korean manufacturer in late May.
The smartphone was released three months ahead of new phone announcement by rivals Apple, Nokia and Motorola.
Samsung seems to be happy by the achievement and says that the sales did help it maintain control in the smartphone market.
Samsung and Apple are involved in legal battles all over the world for patents infringement.
Just last week, Apple Inc targeted Samsung Galaxy S III flagship smartphone that it believes infringed its patent rights!
