Galaxy Note 3, Running on Android 4.4.2v KitKat is Geared for an Update to Enable Wi-Fi Calling Support

Galaxy Note 3 users of the US carrier, Sprint, are about to get an update for Android 4.4.2 Galaxy Note 3, Running on Android 4.4.2v KitKat is Geared for an Update to Enable Wi-Fi Calling SupportKitKat, which was provided to Samsung Galaxy Mega and Galaxy S4 Mini in February. This update offers “Wi-Fi Calling” support and is very easy to install. Just follow the instructions properly to get going.

Galaxy Note 3 was last updated in February when it was running on Android 4.4v, KitKat OS. At that time, the device got various new and enhanced features. Some of them are cloud printing, immersive mode, white status bar icons, transparent status bars, transparent navigation bars and emoji support. It also provided TouchWiz UI improvements.

The latest update to be received by Galaxy Note 3 goes by N900PVPUCNC5. Like the previous updates, this would also be rolled out in different stages. Thus, users will get notifications at different times. It would take a few days before all devices can be updated with the new version of Android KitKat OS. Eligible users will receive a pop-up notification about the update first and then they need to install and download the file. One can check for option to do manual update as well by opening Settings, where there would be provision for System Update.

For additional information about the update like any special instructions or announcements, users can check with Sprint. Users are advised to download the update through Wi-Fi connection to avoid extra data usages. The roll out is supposed to end soon.
