The geeks are going to love this. For those of you who have been losing sleep over getting the Ubuntu Phone experience, Canonical has announced that it will release the Touch Developer Preview of Ubuntu Phone as well as support for Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 on the 21st of February.
Canonical has also stated that this preview is solely for the use of developers and enthusiasts who wish to get familiar with the Ubuntu Phone experience and develop apps. The company will also launch tools that can help you easily flash your device with Ubuntu Phone.
And if you are among the fortunate few who are attending the MWC, you can get your device flashed with Ubuntu right at the Canonical stall at the event. You can also check out many devices running the Ubuntu Phone at the stall. Canonical claims that Ubuntu Phone can run on any Android-based device, but we wonder if it would make use of the physical buttons like Android or if it would be entirely touch based.
