People today are so hooked to Facebook that they don’t take an outage casually. There have been reports that on Friday Facebook has a brief downtime. This was the second time there was an outage at the social media that has many hooked to it.
Following that, some users in Los Angeles dialed 911 to report it. LA Country Sheriff sergeant Burton Brink had to send out a tweet, which said, “Facebook is not a law enforcement issue, please don’t call about it being down, we don’t know when FB will be back up.”
This is a clear indicator that the biggest social network has become as good as an oxygen mass for people. A break-down of the popular social network site left people with feelings of helpless and handicap. Many users turned to other social sites like Twitter to express their frustrations about the non-working of Facebook.
The outage continued for about 20 minutes. Some users even received messages that said there was something wrong and they were working to fix it as soon as possible.
Users who went to the police were seeking a solution to the error message they faced while logging in. It is also being said that Facebook responded to people saying that their Engineers had detected the issue and were working on the issue ASAP and will update the site immediately.
The problem was resolved on Friday evening and the system restored fully.
